Potty Time, Stickers, and Mommy

Well Talmage has started the quest of mastering the potty. We got him the Elmo's Potty Time video and the Elmo Potty(he is on a bit of an Elmo kick lately). He was pretty interested in the whole idea AT FIRST, but that faded shortly. We think that we are going to wait a month or two more. We really don't know what the crap(pun) we are doing. Wish us luck, and any friendly advice would be great.

Talmage has also been on a sticker kick too....

Fun with Mommy Time....

Blood Draw Anyone???

I just wanted to write a quick post and tell you how our day at the blood lab went. We ALL needed to get blood drawn and in AZ you have to go to a lab that is not at the hospital to get it done. So we woke up this morning and headed to the lab. It all went down hill from there. Talamage went first and boy that kid is unbelievably strong. It took every ounce of my srength along with a hefty nurse to hold him still enough to get his draw. He of coarse was going balistic. Poor guy he had no idea what hit him, but he knows he didn't like it. Chelsi went next and the disaster got a little more intense. She as some of you might know does not do well when getting pokes with needles. She was doing fine until the end but then passed out. Talmage started freaking out cause he could tell something wasn't quite right. Things got a little crazy, but everyng turned out OK. On our way out of the lab it was sad to see the kids faces in the waiting room cause they could hear the whole thing and they were scared to death. That kind of morning deserves a little ice cream and playing at the park. Hopefully we don' have to do that again for a LONG time.

Ashley and Jardin Gleason

Last week was Chelsi’s little sister Ashley’s wedding. Chelsi spent the whole week in Utah for all of the festivities. I flew in on Friday night at midnight for the big day on Saturday. Then we drove back all the way home on Sunday. What a weekend. Ashley and Jardin’s wedding was so great. They got married in the Salt lake Temple and had their luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Then later on the reception was held at the Christenson’s house/yard. Everything was just beautiful. Those Christenson women can throw a heck-of-a wedding. Ashley looked wonderful and Jardin wasn’t ugly. They are a cute couple and we just wanted to welcome Jardin to family. We had a great time at the wedding and Talmage couldn’t have had a better time.

Mom and Dad come to Mesa

So a week or two ago Grandpa had some business down here in Phoenix and since Grandma had been out of commision becuase of her rotator cuff surgery she was able to come along too. We had such a great time together. We went out to eat at some of our favorite places and just spend some quality time together. We actually had grandma here for her birthday which was pretty fun too. We did one thing that was really great when they were here. At the Mesa Temple they have a Easter pageant every year. It is actually the largest outdoors Easter pageant in the whole world. There was easily 5 thousand people there if not more. The pageant was really done well and er had a great time. I think grandma liked it the most and is planning on heading down again next year.

The Pulley's Go to Disneyland

We just got back from our week long trip to Disneyland. We had the best time ever. It was the perfect time to go. We never waited in a line longer than 15 minutes, and the weather was wonderful. Talmage loved Disneyland, it took him a few rides to get used to the loud noises and dark rides though. He especially loved Flik’s Faire at California Adventure. He wasn’t quite sure about all the 3D movies though, we couldn’t get him to keep the glasses on. He was a great sport the whole time, he did take a few naps in the stroller but other than that he was a party animal. We had to get him one of those child leashes so we could keep track of him and it worked wonders, we are big fans. That kid has more energy than mommy and daddy put together.

This is a video of Talmage uh “dancing” while we waited for the Disney Parade. He is a clown but has some pretty sweet moves.

This is a video of Talmage running around playing in the water at Flik’s Faire. He is trying to hit the water, but can’t quite get the timing right.

Talmage's Second Birthday

Talmage turned 2 yesturday (2-25-08). We just had a little family birthday party for him at our house. The day started with Talmage and Mom going to Toys R' Us and buying him some toys he picked out with Grandma and Grandpa Chirstensons money that they sent him. Then later we all went swimming which he absolutely loves. He jumps right in on his own, no fear in that boy. Then we had cake and pizza. Then we spent the rest of the night playing with his toys. He is one spoiled kid, but so cute. We just love him so much. He is getting so big so fast. Happy Birthday buddy!!!!

Superbowl Concert

This last weekend was of coarse the Superbowl here in our home state. It was actually a bigger deal than I thought it was. For basically 2 weeks there were parties, tailgating, and basically any kind of event that you could think off. On Saturday night there was a free Counting Crows concert and firework show at a park in Tempe. So we thought that we would check it out. Talmage came along and was less interested in the concert and more interested in running around a tree a million times. I think that he enjoyed the freedom. We are trying to get him used to one of those kid leashes so that we don't lose him in Disneyland next month, but he HATES it. I don't blame him either.
