The Pulley's Go to Disneyland

We just got back from our week long trip to Disneyland. We had the best time ever. It was the perfect time to go. We never waited in a line longer than 15 minutes, and the weather was wonderful. Talmage loved Disneyland, it took him a few rides to get used to the loud noises and dark rides though. He especially loved Flik’s Faire at California Adventure. He wasn’t quite sure about all the 3D movies though, we couldn’t get him to keep the glasses on. He was a great sport the whole time, he did take a few naps in the stroller but other than that he was a party animal. We had to get him one of those child leashes so we could keep track of him and it worked wonders, we are big fans. That kid has more energy than mommy and daddy put together.

This is a video of Talmage uh “dancing” while we waited for the Disney Parade. He is a clown but has some pretty sweet moves.

This is a video of Talmage running around playing in the water at Flik’s Faire. He is trying to hit the water, but can’t quite get the timing right.

Talmage's Second Birthday

Talmage turned 2 yesturday (2-25-08). We just had a little family birthday party for him at our house. The day started with Talmage and Mom going to Toys R' Us and buying him some toys he picked out with Grandma and Grandpa Chirstensons money that they sent him. Then later we all went swimming which he absolutely loves. He jumps right in on his own, no fear in that boy. Then we had cake and pizza. Then we spent the rest of the night playing with his toys. He is one spoiled kid, but so cute. We just love him so much. He is getting so big so fast. Happy Birthday buddy!!!!

Superbowl Concert

This last weekend was of coarse the Superbowl here in our home state. It was actually a bigger deal than I thought it was. For basically 2 weeks there were parties, tailgating, and basically any kind of event that you could think off. On Saturday night there was a free Counting Crows concert and firework show at a park in Tempe. So we thought that we would check it out. Talmage came along and was less interested in the concert and more interested in running around a tree a million times. I think that he enjoyed the freedom. We are trying to get him used to one of those kid leashes so that we don't lose him in Disneyland next month, but he HATES it. I don't blame him either.

Our Prophet

When we heard of the passing of our beloved prophet we felt a brief moment of sadness in losing such and inspired leader. Then joy feeled our hearts that this wonderful man of God was reunited with his sweetheart who he has dearly missed. We love our prophets, and we especially love President Hinckley. His memories and inspired words will live with us forever. He lived great, he led great, and he died great.

Merry Christmas To All

We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent the entire break in Utah with family and had a great time. Talmage loved all his gifts and still is deathly terrified of Santa Claus. We are heading out for Hawaii tomorrow (curtesy of Grandma and Grandpa Pulley) so our next post will be of our trip to the islands. Sadly Talmage is not going with us this time. Grandma Christenson is watching after him. We are going to miss him tonz but I think the crashing waves might help us cope.

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights

Last Saturday we went out to dinner and headed over to the Mesa Temple to see the Christmas lights. It was really quite cool and definately different. The orange trees still have oranges on them but that doesn't stop them from covering them with lights. Also the palm trees looked pretty cool covered in lights. The best part about the whole thing was that people were walking around in tee shirts and jeans. Talmage loved it so much that he wouldn't stop crying when we had to leave.

Locked In

Soooo Chelsi accidently locked the keys in the car the other day. The kicker is that Talmage was in the car with the keys. Oops!!! So after a few minutes of panicing and trying to convience Talmage to somehow kick open the lock (not even close) we had to call 911. To our surprise a huge fire truck showed up in like 5 minutes with three count them three fireman.

So after a few minutes the fireman were able to place a wedge in the window and press the unlock button with a metal rod. We were pretty embarrassed about the whole thing.

After the fireman were done saving the day they let Talmage have a tour of the fire truck, and if any of you know Talmage he loves trucks, especially fire trucks.

Talmage even got a firemans helmet out of it.
