Christmas 2009

We had such a fun Christmas this year. We started off the festivities with Jeff working on Christmas Eve...booooo. It wasn't that bad he got off at 1:00pm and so it was just the morning he had to work. In the evening we headed to Fruit Heights for the Christenson Family Christmas Eve Bash. We had a delicious dinner, played tons of games, and of coarse opened gifts. We had to have the party at a church this year because the family is getting so large. It took awhile to find the church due to some shotty directions, but once we got there the party was on.

Christmas morning was a blast with both Talmage and Cadence. The morning started off with Talmage waking up Chelsi by poking her in the eye. Nice. Then we got the camera ready and checked if Santa visited. He did! Talmage was so excited and loved all the toys he got. He got more than spoiled. His present he got from Santa was a Roller Coaster that he rides down in a little car. It got set up in the basement and he played with it all day. Cadence got some toys that make way too much noise, but she loves them. She also got a bunch of stuff for her new room which is in the process of being painted.

Overall a wonderful holiday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CADENCE!!!!!

Cadence's First Birthday was on the 11th of December. We celebrated it a couple days late so that we could throw a little party for her down in American Fork with family. We had such an amazing time and she, of coarse, was a perfect angel for the whole thing. She got very spoiled by all her aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We had Cadence's favorite food for dinner...Nachos. Then presents and the grand finale...the cake. She did not disappoint. It took her a minute to figure out what was going on, but after she got a taste of that sweet frosting she was hooked. We love this little princess so much and are so grateful to have her in our little family. Thank you to all that we able to spend this fun day with us.

The First of Many

Here are some pics of the first of many snow storms that we will be experiencing here in Cache County. Talmage loves the snow and would play in it all day if we would let him. Cadence is still trying to figure what exactly is going on with the white stuff. Also we thought it would be smart to put up our new mailbox AFTER there was snow on the ground and everything was sufficiently frozen. I believe the thermometer read 3 degrees outside. Good times.

Naked Baby

We had to post some of these "tasteful" nudes of the every so chunky and adorable baby Cadence.

Some Pictures Of the House We are Buying

The furniture in the house is all the previous owners. The landscaping still needs quite a bit of work and there is an unfinished basement. The house was built in 2006 and has only had one owner. We will most likely be moving in sometime in mid November. We can't wait!!!

Talmage and the Leaves

Talmage is starting to get used to some of the differences between Utah and Arizona. Fall time and leaves on the ground is one of those differences. He loves playing in the leaves as you will see.

Talmage's Fist day of Pre-School

Talmage had his first day at pre-school today. He loved it. He wasn't too descriptive of what he did at school but we have gotten out of him that there was a snack, someones birthday, clean-up, and an art project. He was just so excited to wear his backpack and his school's little shirt. Our little boy is getting so big!!!

Jeffrey Pulley M.P.A.S., PA-C

Jeff finally graduated PA school last week, Wa-hoo!!! What a journey. We loved our time down in Arizona and are going to miss our friends so much. Jeff was down in Arizona all last week finishing up his school testing and taking care of all the loose ends. We came down on Friday and the actual graduation was on Saturday. It was really fun and we had quite a turnout. Vard, Annette, Ellen, Carey, Craig, and Tanner were all able to come. Talmage did not love the graduation as you can see. Those things are not geared for 3 year old hyperactive boy. We celebrated a BJ’s, one of our favorite Arizona restaurants. The next morning we headed back to Utah, a drive we will gladly never have to do again. Now Jeff is getting ready for his board exams that he will be taking in a couple weeks. Then it is time to find a job and a new home…

Miller Family Reunion in Idaho

We just barely got back from a extended weekend up in Idaho on the Snake River. We were lucky enough to have us all stay at our uncle Kendall's house. We just camped out on the lawn and played all day. We mostly played games, rode four wheelers, and jet skied on the Snake River. Besides getting a little sun burned it was an awesome time. Talmage had a blast playing with his little cousins finding bugs and swimming. Jeff even got his mom out on the river with threats that if he dumped her off he would die a slow death. It was the best Miller reunion ever.

What is going on with us Now

We know we have been slacking on the posting lately. Here is what is currently going on with us. We have moved back to Utah. Jeff is finishing his last clinical rotation with Dr. Scheuller ENT Surgery. Jeff is graduating PA school next week and we are heading down to Arizona for the festivities. Chelsi has been teaching a couple students here in Utah and totally chopped her hair off. Talmage is having the time of his life in Utah. He loves playing outside and catched bugs (rolly pulleys) all day long. He loves his new friends and is getting spoiled by his grandmas. Cadence is getting absolutely huge. She is starting to get on her hands and knees, so crawling is not far away. She is still the easiest and cutest baby ever.

Called to Serve...

Our little Daniella isn’t so little anymore. Last Wednesday Daniella was called to serve in the Houston, Texas English speaking mission. She is reporting to the MTC in October. We are going to miss her so much but she will be a great missionary. We are so proud of her!

Our 4th of July

So on the 4th of July we started the day off at the ward breakfast party which included a breakfast, face painting, bicycle competition, bike parade, candy cannon, water fight, bouncy house, and blow up water slide. It was good times. Talmage had a blast and even won the bike decorating competition. His prize was a big goofy flag hat that dad wore because it was too big for Talmage's dome.

In the afternoon Talmage took a ride on Grandpa's motorcycle. We are still not sure if he'll ever be doing that again. He was a little scared from the loud noise the bike made

In the evening we played it pretty low key. We had a BBQ at home and did our own fireworks out in the front. Grandma and Grandpa Pulley even came down to join in the festivities.

The Happiest Place on Earth 2009

This week we headed to California to visit Disneyland and to the beach. Jeff has been working 12 hours shifts and got almost a week off so we decided it was time to head back to the happiest place on earth. We went in March of 2008 but Talmage was still pretty young and this time he was tall enough to ride almost every ride. He was a good sport and at least rode all the rides once. His favorite rides were the Winnie the Pooh and the Ferris Wheel in California Adventure. Cadence was a perfect little angel the enitre trip except for the ride home in which she yelled for two hours straight.

I realize there are a ton of picture. So much that they wouldn't all fit on one slide show.

We also went to Newport Beach for one of the mornings. It was Talmage's and Cadence's first trip to the beach ever. I think Talmage might have liked the beach more than Disneyland. It was a little windy and chilly but that didn't stop the little man from getting drenched and covered in sand, including his mouth. We even found a little crab that Talmage held for about 2 seconds until it pinched him.

Moving Back to Utah

It is official we are headed back to Utah. Jeff is finishing up his ER rotation in June and after that we are on the road. We will be back to Utah June 20th. We are going to miss all of our great friends that we have here in Mesa, but the good things is that it is not too far from Utah to visit. After we move back Jeff is going to finish his last rotation in Ogden doing ENT surgery. Then after that graduation and national boards!!!

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

Last week we spent the afternoon at a little local park dedicated to all that is Trains. For those of you who have met little Talmage you know this is right up is alley. They have a couple little train rides, a carousel, a bunch of cute little themed playgrounds, and, Talmage's favorite, a couple huge toy train exhibits. He could seriously stare at those trains all day and be as content as could be. We decided to get out and try a couple new things before the heat really sets in. Also our time in Arizona is coming close to an end so we need to check out a few more local hot spots. We had a nice little picnic and a great day at the park.
